Easton, MD, March 14, 2016 – Leadership Maryland has selected Deborah Keller, Vice President of Human Resources at Quality Health Strategies (QHS), as one of 52 business and community leaders joining the 24th Leadership Maryland class. This professional development program is dedicated to bilding a stronger Maryland by educating, cultivating, and connecting the state's brightest leaders. The class of 2016 will complete the eight-month hands-on learning program focused on the state's most vital social, economic, and environmental issues.

"I am excited to have been selected and look forward to broadening my knowledge and understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the state", said Keller. She leads the Human Resources function at the QHS, the parent company for Delmarva Foundation for Medical Care, Health Integrity, and the Quality Health Foundation. The company has offices and associates across the nation supporting efforts to Create Solutions to Transform Health. Delmarva Foundation performs utilization management, quality improvement, and external quality review in Medicare and Medicaid programs, as well as providing support for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Health Integrity works with federal and state agencies to detect and deter fraud, waste, and abuse through predictive modeling, data analytics, and traditional investigation methods.

Following a two-day opening retreat April, the class will attend five two-day intense sessions traversing the state focusing on Maryland's economic development; education; health and human services; criminal justice; the environment; and multiculturalism/diversity. These sessions will be followed by a one-day closing retreat in November and a graduation celebration in December. More than 100 experts representing business, government, education, and the non-profit community will serve as panelists and guest speakers. "I look forward to building new relationships experiences, and perspectives that will enhance my professional development," said Keller.
